Gobble Tic-Tac-Toe

Three in a row, except a bigger piece eats a smaller one — and the piece it ate is still there, waiting underneath.

Rules
  • You each have six pieces: two small, two medium, two large. A turn is one placement, and a piece on the board never moves again.
  • Place on an empty square, or cover any piece that is strictly smaller — yours or theirs. Equal sizes do not eat each other.
  • The covered piece stays underneath and never comes back out. Only the piece on top counts.
  • Three visible pieces in a row wins, whatever their sizes. Covering an opponent's piece breaks the line they were building.
  • If the player to move has nothing that fits anywhere, the game is a draw — being starved does not lose it for you.

Welcome to Gobble Tic-Tac-Toe

Six pieces each, two of every size. A bigger piece covers a smaller one — and the smaller one stays buried underneath.
